Our House... |

Walter Burley Griffin was one of the principal architects of the prairie style, along with George Maher and Frank Lloyd Wright. He designed our house in 1909. He eventually moved to Australia, where he designed the national capitol at Canberra. |

"Six Storms" carved into marble by Don's father and mounted on the cedar fence by the garage. It reflects the addition of Jack Oliver into our family on April 15, 2003. |

Left: This perspective on the house does not show the sunroom addition on the north side (circa 1930), nor any of the more modern additions made in the 1980's. So this is exactly what the house looked like when it was built in 1909. During our basement restoration, we found a board signed by the original builder. |
